WINDOW

Dust diamonds glide as a stream of rainbows mimicking far away stars bursts.

Flimsy specks cavorting in the Madinah midday winter warmth.

Would that this ribbon of floating sparkles sprinkle my face.

With the hope that just one micro fleck

May have once been swirling around the Bringer of Peace,

The Bringer of the Qur’an, the Bringer of Trust, the Bringer of Hope.

SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.

Alchemize the light from our beloved Misbah,

Whose light preceded all creation,

Dressed in the radiance of miracles,

To flow through these ancient slats.

Filtering waves of discordant dross,

Averting all that hinders my seeking

To You and Yours.

Timeless dilapidated window, force the gaze inward.

Veil the seen to reveal the Unseen,

Shutter Dunya desires, gloomily staining the primeval pure.

Peering at abstinence eradicates blemish,

While securing the shine of the inner chalice;

Pristine emptiness full of nothing but

EVERYTHING.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. Ameen.

  2. Jazakamullah Khairan for this sister. Your passage of hoping that one micro fleck of dust having swirled past our beloved Rasul Salallahualaihiwasalam, reminds me of the concept of particles of air forever being recycled and how in sitting with our teachers we are breathing the air, which they breathed with their teachers who in turn breathed with their teachers all the way back to the Mercy to Mankind salallahualaiwasalm! In essence we are breathing in air that was shared by the Sahaba radiallahuanhum and Al-Amin Salallahualaihiwasalam. Subhanallah! May Allah aza wa jal forever keep us in the company of our Beloved Rasul Salallahualaihiwasalam.

  4. Assalamu alaikum,
dear Maida, that link will not work for me either, maybe it is my PC? The correct page flashes momentarily then reverts to that other message? I will continue to persevere! For what my Du’a is worth, you are in it! Insha’Allah keep me in yours too!
Brother Ikramuddin, SubhanAllah, I too have heard that about the air, as well as the sound waves. Alhumdulillah we all are in the presence of all our past and present Ulama, and as you mention the Sahabah RadhiAllahu anhum, and our blessed Nabi SallAllahu alaihi wasallam, and all previous Anbiya Alaihumas Salaam. A heartening way to be in this Dunya.
Dear Saimah, your words also spark a joy in my heart, Alhumdulillah that we are of the Ummah of Rasulullah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam where we are so blessed to be able to share our love for him and his Sunnah with each other. May Allah Ta’ala see our yearning and increase our nearness to Him and to His Mercy for all the Worlds, SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.
    Wassalamu alaikum
