Dr Abu Bakr [Baqi Gharqad and death] — almiskeenah @ 9:20 pm

"Every soul shall taste death in the end; to Us shall you be brought back." (29:57)

when i die
when my coffin
is being taken out
you must never think
i am missing this world

don’t shed any tears
don’t lament or
feel sorry
i’m not falling
into a monster’s abyss

when you see
my corpse is being carried
don’t cry for my leaving
i’m not leaving
i’m arriving at eternal love

when you leave me
in the grave
don’t say goodbye
remember a grave is
only a curtain
for the paradise behind

you’ll only see me
descending into a grave
now watch me rise
how can there be an end
when the sun sets or
the moon goes down

it looks like the end
it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed

have you ever seen
a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life
why should you doubt the rise
of a seed named human

have you ever seen
a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty
why lament for a soul
when it can come back
like Joseph from the well

when for the last time
you close your mouth
your words and soul
will belong to the world of
no place no time

A Celebration of Life and Love

Inna LiLlahi wa inna ilaihi Rajeoon.

I dedicate this post to Dr. Abu Bakr, the husband of a dear friend, and the father of three young children, whom Allah Ta’ala long before he was born, had written that he be taken back to him yesterday, Yaum al-Juma’ah, and Who instructed the Blessed Dust of Jannatul Baqi to caress him until the Day of Resurrection when he will surely rise to see our Beloved Rasulullah SallAllahu alaihi wassalam. This dear brother begged to reside in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah from South Africa and then only ever asked to remain here. SubhanAllah, such sincerity of intention that his Du’a has been answered.  Insha’Allah, you can offer Surah Fatiha or Surah Ya Sin for him and all who have recently been called from this existence to the next phase of the journey promised to us all.

"i’m not leaving
i’m arriving at eternal love."

JazakiLlahu khairan to Ukht Farhanah for mentioning this beautiful Rumi poem. The way Allah Ta’ala plans is far far beyond our comprehension. Alhumdulillahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. Ameen.

  8. Assalamu alaikum Dr. Iqbal, Ameen Thumma Ameen to your comforting words. So true, how many of us ask for such an abode, and to be additionally blessed by the visit of Malakul Maut on Yaumul Juma’ah, to be resting in the older section of Jannatul Baqi and to be sharing the Qabr with an innocent baby, SubhanAllah SubhanAllah! May Allah Ta’ala’s Mercy and Barakah surround the family, teaching them all more of Sabr and Shukr in all circumstances, Ameen.

  9. May Allah through his infinite mercy elevate Marhoom Abu Bakers status to the highest level of Janat and through Allahs mercy grant his family, wife children, mother, sisters and all those who loved him, sabr and understanding of accepting his loss in this world and celebrate his status of the akhira

  10. Assalamu alaikum Abdul Carrim, Ameen Thumma Ameen to your heartfelt Du’a. May we all learn to gracefully submit to the Will of our Rabb, accepting all that is in His power. May we all make Du’a for brother Noury who was with Dr Abu Bakr, who after being in a coma since the accident was also taken back to Allah Ta’ala. We are told that he miraculously awoke for a few seconds, said Shadahah and then passed away. He is now at rest in Jannatul Baqi close to his companion Abu Bakr, the respective families saying they were friends in Dunya, and now are close in their Qabr. May both be experiencing the gentle perfumed breeze of Jannah. He leaves a wife and six children, the youngest only two months old. May Allah Ta’ala bless them with His best of Sabr and Shukr and ease their way to be with their loved one in Jannah, Insha’Allah, Ameen.

  11. Asalaamu’alaikum. Jazakallah Khair for the dedication and the sincere and heartfelt wishes and duas. I am a nephew of Marhoom Aboobaker- I am truly heartbroken - his passing is proving very difficult to accept because he was like a brother to me. He was an exemplary Muslim, a kind and gentle man, a loving father and a beloved son, husband, brother and uncle. I have never met a man so selfless or pure of heart. He yearned to be in the Holy City of Al-Madinah and Almighty Allah has made him among those lucky few who rest in the tranquil sanctity of Jannatul Baqi. May Allah, Most Merciful and Most High, grant him Jannatul Firdous (Ameen).May Allah, Most Beneficent and Most Kind, grant sabr, understanding and strength to his wife, three beautiful children and the rest of our family (Ameen).

  12. Assalamu alaikum,
May our Yaqeen in Allah Ta’ala make such sudden loss a mean for us to become closer to Him, Ameen, and help to ease the separation. Ameen thumma Ameen to your Du’as. May all bereaving find solace in our glorious Deen and take the time to reflect on the impermanence of this Dunya, asking ourselves if we have made enough preparations for the next phase of our journeying to our Lord.
