Rabi’alAwwal 1428 01 [Rabi'alAwwal 1428] — almiskeenah @ 8:54 pm

When I saw his light shining forth

In fear I covered my eyes with my palms,

Afraid for my sight because of the beauty of his form.

So I was scarcely able to look at him at all.

The lights from his light are drowned in his light

and his face shines out like the sun and moon in one.

A spirit of light lodged in a body like the moon,

a mantle made up of brilliant shining stars.

I bore it until I could bear it no longer.

I found the taste of patience to be like bitter aloes.

I could find no remedy to bring me relief

other than delighting in the sight of the one I love.

Even if he had not brought any clear signs with him,

 the sight of him would dispense with the need for them.

Muhammad is a human being but not like other human beings.

 Rather he is a flawless diamond and the rest of mankind is just stones.

Blessings be on him so that perhaps Allah may have mercy on us

 on that burning Day when the Fire is roaring forth its sparks.

There is no dark eye finer than yours ,

And no mother gave birth to a more handsome one than you;

You are created without fault

As you have wish to be created…

And your praise in this world spreads,

More fragrant than the musk,

And your fortune is abundant;

Your hand has the generosity of a vast ocean

And the charity of a flowing river;

May God protect you from the envious

Who still burn with jealousy.

O my Lord! I am unable to give praise

In a manner worthy of you;

I am of poor eloquence,

And the poor usually fail…

My poems do not glorify Mohammad,

It is Mohammad who immortalizes my poems.

Hassan ibn Thabit RadhiAllahu anhu.

A Durood Flower.

May the seeds of this flower

Burst by the hour

Deep in your being

So Allah, the All-Seeing

Will bring you close to His Habib

And satisfy your every need.

Ameen.

May we all embrace this Mubarak month to be embraced by the blessings it holds. Ameen.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

  6. Assalamu alaikum,
    Dear ALL,
    Ameen Thumma Ameen to all the sublime words you all share, enlightening this space and our hearts. Apologies for my tardy reply…a few attractions and distractions keeping me from this corner in front of the screen, Alhumdulilah.
    Lovely indeed is this month and the potential we can reap from it, Insha’Allah Umm Yusuf. And dear brother Irving, may we all one day be blessed with the ability to SEE the True Shine of The ONE Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, Ameen.
    Welcome HB and sf, none of us are not really “poor” with this Deen in our heart, nor far away when we sincerely turn to Allah Ta’ala and His Habib in our devotions to them. All is seen, heard and known, and by following the Commands of Allah Ta’ala through the Sunnah, Insha’Allah we will be blessed with a closeness that grows as we submit. Ameen.
    YEARNING, yearning, yearning,
    such an evocative word
    that stirs within
    brother Ikramuddin!
    May this YEARNING forever be on the increase in us all, and the sweetness of it conveyed to all around us, Ameen.
    Wassalamu alaikum
