Salaams.
There’s actually 6236 verses in the Qur’an and not 6666. No idea where the 6666 number originated from but rumour has it that it was first referred to by some Christian missionaries and Muslims have parroted it ever since.

I didn’t understand the following:
What is Masumeen?
Comment by Abu Ahmad — February 3, 2008 @ 12:15 am
Assalamu alaikum Dear Brother Ishmaeel, JazakumuLlahu khairan for the correction, I have edited the post.
And Abu Ahmad I have changed that question due its dubious connections, apologies, I should have been more awake! The figures are interesting, but I certainly cannot verify some of the totals, like how many dots?

Assalmau alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
May Allah make the Quran the Spring of our hearts, the light of our breasts, the dispeller of our sorrows, the eraser of our anxieties and a departure for our worries. Oh Allah (Aza wa Jal) make your Noble Book a proof for us and not against us!
Please pray that Allah strengthens my connection with the Quran, to read it, memorize it, understand its deep meanings and implement it in my life.
Please convey our salams if possible.

Asalamu’alaikum dear al-Miskeenah,
Thank you for a beautiful addition.
Allah keep you safe and well.
The Lament of the Qur’an
In niches I am adorned
Upon the eyes I am caressed
Into amulets I am composed
Repeatedly soaked and infused
Concealed in covers of satin and silk
With flowers of astral silver
Thereupon showered with Itr
Overwhelmed with fragrance am I
Akin to a parrot or mynah
Trained to mimic sounds
Thus I am recited
Thus I am taught
Upon promises taken
Upon oaths sworn
Thence besought as a witness am I
Hearts remain destitute of devotion
Eyes remain bereft of moisture
Upon request at every assembly
Recited and repeated am I
Vice has exceeded virtue
Truthfulness exceeded by deception
For one moment enraptured am I
And One hundred occasions to weep
To me are the proclamations of devotion
Yet strangers creeds you embrace
Thus I am abased
Thus I am oppressed
What gathering neglects my Remembrance
What anniversary neglects my Fame
Even so, I remain forsaken, alone
Is there one as wronged as I?
My message lies neglected
My treasure untouched
The field lies bare where once blossomed true glory
So much to give have I but none is there to perceive
Hope you like the not good enough translation but tried my best: ) Do listen to the beautiful Urdu nazam in the link below; Number 9, Qur’an ki Faryad Don’t know much about the website though.

Salaam Dearest Sister:)
Humans are pattern thinkers, and love to find patterns in holy books. I have seen such lists for other books also. Yet until the words are in the mind, and finally sink into the heart, such patterns are only of interest to accountants
I repeat the prayer of our brother Faqir above:
Thank you for a most interesting post
May Allah make the Quran the Spring of our hearts, the light of our breasts, the dispeller of our sorrows, the eraser of our anxieties and a departure for our worries. Oh Allah (Aza wa Jal) make your Noble Book a proof for us and not against us!
Ameen! Ameen! Ameen!
Ya Haqq!

Assalamu alaikum, JazakumuLlahu khairan Dear Naqsh1 for this poignant lament, may the message transcend all external rituals so the honour for Allah Ta’ala’s Divine Speech resides in the heart and not on the shelf of neglect.
Insha’Allah Sister Saimah I will inform you all of the Durood soon.
The ‘pattern’ concept is interesting Dear Irving Darvish, especially for visual learners whose understanding is enhanced by such layouts.
I too repeat the moving Du’a Dear Faqir has shared, JazakumuLlahu khairan: May Allah make the Quran the Spring of our hearts, the light of our breasts, the dispeller of our sorrows, the eraser of our anxieties and a departure for our worries. Oh Allah (Aza wa Jal) make your Noble Book a proof for us and not against us! Ameen Ameen Ameen.
I will make that Du’a for you, please do the same for me.

Assalamu alaikum Dear Abu Talha, JazakumuLlahu khairan, Alhumdulillah I was able to fulfill your request, repeated at various places in and around Rowdha, which for the moment has been reopened for sisters to include the section at the feet of our Blessed Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wassalam. May Allah accept my humble supplications, and those of us all. Ameen.
and thought of you all, and of course in Rowdha too!
This screen is always blessed to see you Dear Brother Ikramuddin, I walked home via that hotel
Dear t….many say that when we feel really stuck is when our Du’a is answered. When we feel there is nowhere to go and desperate the sincerity in asking is at its maximum…I will try to find a more appropriate comment, Insha’Allah…late here and still things to do. All is at it is meant to be…sink deeper in submission, giving up all struggle. Love and Du’a always.

and my sister has two sons, Umar and Ameen… Alhamdulillah, Ameen, the eldest, is well on his way… kindly make dua for the
others also… You would be interested in knowing that the burial ground of the grandfather of these boys is none other than
Al-Baqee…

Assalamu alaikum Dear Abu Talha, SubhanAllah! How blessed you all are, Masha’Allah. May all their hearts be pierced with the Divine Words of our Rabb, Ameen, and all fulfill the Hadith of being the best in learning our Holy Book and teaching it to others. Insha’Allah I ask that you make Du’a that I too can join their grandfather as a resident in Jannatul Baqi. How fortunate he is.

Assalamu alaikum Dear Brother Imtiaz, sorry for the delay…have been waiting for one Hafiz Maulana to arrive and ask him…who said that there are various ways of dividing the Qur’an Majeed…the sub-continent use Ruku, the Arabic version Ruba…and the two do not match each other…while he thinks it is the Persian division that uses the Raque…and Allah Ta’ala knows best.
