Assalamu Alaikum Dearest al Miskeenah
I checked again yesterday (Feb 10). Nothing but an empty box. I am confused (not surprising) but we always receive what folks send us, even from the Philippines.
Khayr, inshaAllah.

Asalamu’alaikum dear al-Miskeenah, and sister Farah, and brother Faqir and sister Suhaa. Thank you for this ramble. I hope you realise, as your fingers nimbly type away, that you take your readers on some mystical and magical journeys: ) And dear sister Farah, thank you for sharing with us the beautiful Durood-e-Taj: ) For me it will always be the Durood of the Turban: ) And is there anything other than that which adorned our Beloved Prophet’s blessed head SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam? A beautiful Crown indeed. Everyone loves to receive letters from near and dear ones but imagine...

One day, without a shadow of doubt, I believe
A letter from our Beloved Prophet we will receive
An invitation by his Beloved hand
Written by the Pen at his command
Given glad tidings to those blessed men
Forever raised by the power of ten
We all must strive to receive this letter too
Sacrifice all for his Sunnah without further ado
Praised will be the one that follows his way
Yet many will come to lead them astray
So dwell not on the journeys aftermath,
For the way is paved with pearls in its path
And dress yourselves in the colour of the Dome
Truly, wisdom lies not on the ways to Rome
~SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam~

Assalamu alaikum Dear Ukht Farah, Ameen thumma Ameen. May we all strive to increase our love and yearning for the Light from the LIGHT of ALLAH, SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.
Dear Faqir, I feel that is why when look at the precious tabarrukat we are overcome with an indescribable ecstasy, SubhanAllah!
Maybe Dear Sister Suhaa it was beacuse you are now in a 'known' estate, and also maybe because it was an internal delivery from within the country. Allahu 'Alum. This is the first I have heard of any one receiving delivered mail! May it soon be the norm! But our experiences of a failed system is that many items never make it out of the country either. Plus I will not go into the many accounts of actually trying to send parcels and the treatment in the post office!
Wassalamu alaikum

for the 1st 10 months we lived here in madinah, we didnt even have a mailing address..because our street didn't have a name (and still doesnt) but when we moved my husband registered our mail box, and then tested it out.. we sent a letter to my son from his job, and 2 days we got it! a stamp costs 2 riyals here...and i thought we were in good shape..but after reading this, and hearing from my friend that mailing system is way behind, i can only think the reason why we got the letter mail my husband sent was due to randomness of the system!! this was the main reason why i didnt participate in sr. farhana's swap..subhanAllah..

jazakAllah kheir for sharing..

assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
great post mashaAllah. barakAllahu feeki
please remember the faqir in your duas the next time to you are in the Blessed Rawda and give our Salams to our Beloved Messenger (SalAllahu alayhi wa salam wa a'la aalihi). i need Him (SalAllahu alayhi wa salam wa a'la aalihi).
the letters He (SalAllahu alayhi wa salam wa a'la aalihi) wrote are better than me. even the ink and the paper because they came in contact with Him(SalAllahu alayhi wa salam wa a'la aalihi). just to be around Him (SalAllahu alayhi wa salam wa a'la aalihi) was an enormous blessing.
