The Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: My life is a great good for you, you will relate about me and it will be related to you, and my death is a great good for you, your actions will be exhibited to me, and if I see goodness I will praise Allah, and if I see evil I will ask forgiveness of Him for you.
Inspired by the precious lovers of HabibuLlahu SallAllahu alaihi wasallam’s comments expressing an intention to recite Durood ibn Kasir, I have posted it again in the hope that those who wish to devote some time on the eve of this Juma’ah, (based on your local time) will do so. You can either intend to complete a certain number, or depending on commitments, leave it open and see how many can be reached. Given that Yaumul Juma’ah in many countries is a working day it is understandable that there may be difficulties in achieving great numbers. May we have the hope that Allah Ta’ala sees the desire in the heart and accepts this, Ameen. Insha’Allah this is a collective effort, and Insha’Allah the rewards are written for each of us equivalent to the final total. If we reach the ten thousand collectively, may it be written that we all receive the benefits as stated below, Ameen. I realize that some may not wish to publically post the total they recite, nor want names to be known, so you can email me almiskeenah@gmail.com with your individual total. Insha’Allah every little counts, even if only one read with Ikhlas. I will post the collective total during next week, Insha’Allah, and maybe think about the idea of doing this on a regular basis, maybe once a month. Insha’Allah you make Da’wah on the countless blessings received when invoking peace and greetings on our Beloved Nabi SallAllahu alaihiwasallam, and encourage children to establish the habit of participating. Alhumdulillah interest has been expressed from dear readers from four of the five continents! Masha’Allah. May we have each continent participating as a link across this tiny globe. Ameen.
Durood ibn Kasir Rahmatullah alaihi.

I also share two other Durood Sharif from the same book for your information.
Durood-e Barakat Katheera
This Durood Sharif is the bearer of superb abundance and favours. Many saints have stated: Whosoever recites this Durood Sharif in their daily practices with a true heart, then on the Day of Judgement he will be reckoned among the Righteous and the Martyrs. The virtues of this Durood Sharif is so vast that thousands and thousands of virtues are recorded on the utterance of a single letter. By the putity of this scared Durood Sharif, all the (minor) sins of the reader will be forgiven. If one recites this Durood Sharif in the state of sickness, then Allah Ta’ala will grant him recovery. This Durood Sharif is alos very effective for questions that are asked in the grave by the Angels Munkar and Nakir.

Durood-e Awwal
Allah, Exalted is He has made this Durood Sharif the most virtuous of all. The reader will not be deprived. Allah, Exalted is He will deliver him from all types of ailments and illnesses. HE will remove difficulties and will grant both worldly and religious success to the reader. The most special benefit of reciting this Durood Sharif excessively is that by the Will of Allah Ta’ala he will shun all his evil habits and experience pleasure in worship and become righteous.
If one wishes to reach his goal or achieve his objectives quickly then he should recite this Durood Sharif abundantly. This is a majestic Name and is readily accepted. Special slaves of Allah Ta’ala recite this Durood Sharif and they are reckoned in the ‘Foremost Ranks’ of those who have sacrificed themselves for the most beloved Messenger of Allah SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. This is why this Durood Sharif is entitled the Foremost Holy Benediction.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

Assalamu’Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
SubhanAllah, another beautiful post!
Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi blessed us with his presence in the UK recently, and I wanted to share some gems with you…
The name Muhammad is a cure and salah alan nabi on him is the remedy for every suffering! Rasulallah salallahu alaihi wasallam is the relief. In as much as Allah made him a mercy to the worlds, Allah made him a relief for any calamities.
The more you repeat the name of Muhammad salallahu alaihi wasallam in the form of salah alan nabi ‘Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala alihi wa saHbihi wa sallam’ the more you will embrace his character.
He gave examples of scholars living and those who have passed who were proofs of this. Sh Badr ud deen al Hassani rahmatullahi alaih lived for 88 years. No one could claim any knowledge in Syria without Sh Badr ud deen having a hand in it. Looking at him you will be looking at a man of the salaf. His books are insignificant compared to his impact on Syria. 80 years after his passing and we are STILL speaking of his impact subhanAllah! What was the secret of his success? It was Salah alan Nabi! As a young man he started teaching. He realised that he was missing something so he abandoned people and isolated himself and went on a retreat. His wird was salah alan nabi. When he came out he outdid any other scholar in knowledge, ibadah and taqwa! He spoke very few words. If someone asked him a question he would ask his student to double check the book for the answer - he would know the page number and reference off by heart! The purity of his mind allowed this…the secret of this was Salah alan nabi! Even his peers became his students. He outdid all of them. He would read 30,000/40,000 salawats a day!
Another example: Shaykh Ahmad Habbal. He is over 100 years old and his life is about spreading the love of Rasulallah salallahu alaihi wasallam. Everyday after Fajr he does 100,000 salawats in a majlis alan nabi. Sh Ahmad had a watch which didnt work. He wore this for 50 years. He would recite salawat and hit his watch with his finger and it would work! He did this for 50 years! Shaykh Muhammad said it would be worth you leaving your job to go and meet this man!
May our salaams to our most Beloved Prophet salAllahu ‘alaihi wasallam be filling the space between the earth and The Arsh, accompanying the angels in perpetual glorification and adoration of Allahs Best of Creation. Ameen!!
O Allah, bless our master Muhammad, the Best of Creation, blessings which are pleasing to You, pleasing to him and by which You are pleased with us, O Most Merciful of the Merciful. Ameen.
Forgive me for the length! Please remember me in your du’as.

As-salaamu Alaikum,
You are a genius to have thought of scanning the darud sharif!
“You came down to the land men to instruct
like rain that covered all its length and breadth;
A shining sun in morning blaze that left
no night, or star, or lantern to distract.
You left it tolerant, its waymarks shining bright
it dragged its trails across high heaven’s dune
Following the revolutions of day and night
with Truth’s troops in flowing streams.
Its envoy the Quran which all men guides
unto the strongest way, where good speech bides.”
[Chapter 9 Key to the Garden, by Habib Ahmad Mashhur al-Haddad (RA)]
Please keep a young mother who passed away in your duas. She left behind 3 young boys. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajeoun. May Allah ta’ala grant her jannahtul firdous and her family sabr, amin. I held her 6 month old baby. Yaa Rabb
wasalaam

Assalamu alaikum,
JazakumuLlahu khairan for all these wonderful comments and sharing, so deeply appreciated, Alhumdulillah. May we all be granted a closeness to the one we all love SallAllahu alaihi wasallam seated by his Kawthar if for no other reason than sharing our love for him, Ameen.
I was also sent the following from a reader who was present at one of the Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaboubi, may Allah Ta’ala increase him in all goodness in both worlds, adding to the sharing from Umm Fatimah:
“The Shaykh reminded about how the Prophet Sallalahu alayhi wasallam is a source of relief for us- just the mention of his name ‘Muhammad’ is a comfort. In particular he referred to an ayah in the Qur’an from surah Baqarah which he said that he re-read recently where Allah ta’ala says
‘’Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere'’
Subhan’Allah.
The Shaykh asked us to focus here on the use of pronouns- the verse begins ‘we will’ so here Allah ta’ala is referring to himself (if one can say that) . The Shaykh then emphasized on the perfection of the Quran and tells us how this contrasts with the words towards the end which instruct the Prophet Salawat’Ullah wassalamu alay to ‘give glad tidings’ to the patient. So we should know that the tests will come from him ta’ala and relief comes through Rasul’Allah Salawat’Ullah wassalamu ‘alay.
(hope iv conveyed that correctly, apologies for any inaccuracies)
Subhan’Allah such a beautiful reminder that really made me well up. The Shaykh also went on to tell us that when he lay down to sleep at night, it is in anticipation that he may meet the Messenger of AllahSallalahu alayhi wasallam in his dream. Subhan’Allah such is his connection that he thinks of being close to him Sallalahualayhi wasallam even at this time when usually we are either too tired or thinking of tomorrow..tomorrow!”
*And….if there are any more Durood to add to our first little collective effort, Insha’Allah let me know, email to the address in the body of the post. *
