O Allah, bless our lord and master Muhammad as many times as those who remember him do so. O Allah, bless our lord and master Muhammad as many times as those who neglect to remember him do so.
O Allah, bless grant peace to and sanctify our master Muhammad and also his wives, the Mothers of the Believers, his descendants and the People of his House, such blessings and peace which are measureless and grant of which is incessant.
Allah’s Messenger
(May Peace and blessings be upon him)
These inadequate words, like my tears spill onto the page and evaporate,
Because no comparison to a summer’s day will do.
And what lofty name can one give to this rose when his name is Muhammad?
By gazing upon him hard, war-mongering hearts became filled with wide-eyed wonder;
When he walked amongst men he was of them but more eminent; he always appeared taller.
His bright face shone ‘more radiant than the moon’,
Those who saw him were astounded, dumbfounded.
His very presence captivated all,
The reality of his light made him a lamp for a darkened room;
A shining beacon midst iniquity.
His long-lashed eyes had an intensity in colour and were often wet with tears in prayer.
His laughter was in his light- emitting smile; a secret to be treasured for these sinful eyes.
The feel of his skin was softer than silk and more beautiful than gossamer, with its silvery tones;
His musk lingered on those touched by him.
Children flocked around him to bask in his glow
Just as we sit here to listen to his words even now;
All radiated with love for him…because of him.
Hearts leaned to him…
are leaning to him…
and will lean to him;
Because he is the perfect balance in this unbalanced world
Because his love is the a calm centre in a stormy sea
Because his walk was one with purpose;
Direction so that we can follow the hallowed footsteps he left behind.
Because if it was not for him, we would not have been created.
May infinite peace and blessings be upon Him

Even if Jannah came to take, I wouldn’t leave this street!
We’d also turn away our face, towards your wall!
Thus has the dust of Madinah made my account so complete
That the Day of Reckoning now I have no need to meet.
Before my eyes, that ocean sat, my heart is restless to prostrate
Refrain, stop your head, yes, this is a test.

Many generous and loving souls share so many moving words and images, so out of gratitude to them, and wanting to extend the sharing with all I will be posting such gifts every now and then. JazakumuLlahu khairan to those who have contributed the above two pieces, and to Surreal Soonee Sister for her dulcet reminders in Give Gifts, Grow Love. May we be more mindful of the beauty of the Sunnah of giving this Juma’ah, reaching out more than usual, as well as being more generous with our Salawaat on our Blessed Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam whose every moment was a gift to us. Insha’Allah, may our living and our dying be on the Sunnah, and efforts made on encouraging and sharing this in others, Ameen.
All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

That dust on which Prophet set his feet
For us is better than a heavenly seat.
Sky was hurt deeply by the sharp irony
When Earth said, “Madinah is located on me”
Prophet described Ali as “dust’s father”
Who is our wise guide and brave leader.
O seekers! Walk humbly in right earnest
Under this earth is our Prophet’s place of rest.

Allahummarzuqnee Shahadatan fee sabeelika, waj’al mautee bi-baladi Rasoolika salallahu ‘alaihi wasallam
Oh Allah, grant me Shahadah in Your way, and bless me to die in the City of your Rasul salallahu alaihi wasallam
I can attest to the power of this du’a. A Sheikh Nuh murid passed away in an accident on the way to Madinah after performing ‘Umrah. He used to pray all his Salat in his local mosque whenever he was home. One of the supplications the Imam of his local mosque makes after EVERY ritual prayer is the very same one that I have written above. SubhanAllah!

‘O seekers! Walk humbly in right earnest
Under this earth is our Prophet’s place of rest.’
Inna liLlahi wa inna ilaihi rajeoon to the brother who was so steadfast with this Du’a.
It is the sharing of others that have made this post Dear Sister Saimah, Masha’Allah, like the burst of shining light that Ukht Farah has posted, JazakiLlahu khairan. Do read the entire piece from the link given, it is so beautiful…Insha’Allah I will post it some time.
