Juma’ah Mubarak 17 (cont) [Juma’ah Mubarak 17 (cont)] — almiskeenah @ 9:45 pm

Musa was desirous to see Allah

But Allah was desirous to see you.

How can Tur Sina compare to Miraj?

How can earth compare to the heavens?

How can Yusuf’s beauty compare to yours?

He was the beloved of Zulaikha, you are the beloved of Allah.

Veiled in the secret of humanity is your flawless beauty

Unknown to all that you are part of the beauty of Allah.

Prophets and Angels cannot claim the same nearness as you.

You are the beloved of Allah, the Proud.

Everyone else is an outsider.

Many a times the moon has tried to rival your beauty.

But never could it present splendor close to yours.

How can I boast affiliation to you?

I am as unclean as you are pure and chaste.

I would not be surprised if for your sake

The sins of your nation are counted as acts of obedience.

The crimes of your nation are considered so precious,

The least of your nation be showered with a thousand blessings.

Depending on your intercession my rebelliousness increased,

I am sinful, I am disobedient, but still I belong to you.

Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanotwi.  Rahmatullahi alaihi.

Images from that blessed time between Asr and Maghrib on another blessed Juma’ah, one that we will never witness again. May we be heedful with our time, Ameen.

The haze still embracing all with a softness. The courtyard work now between Bab Baqi and the outside fence, brothers can still enter Bab Baqi as the work does not extend that far. While the area to the south, left, is still sectioned off.

Our Beloved Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: Du’a is the weapon of a believer, the pillar of Deen and the Nur of the heavens and the earth. SubhanAllah. Looking at the line of what normally is the the first Saff.  How much Du’a has been made here over the centuries, and how much more will be made?

The eastern courtyard extension now level with the exisiting courtyard.

Brothers lining up at the Zamzam filling station located on the north-western corner of the courtyard.

They patiently wait in orderly lines with many containers to fill.

And wheelbarrows also line up ready for work to resume in the morning.

The area in front of Bab Salam also fenced off, but access still possible.

This is the last major section on the southern side to be completed.

The black rubber matting in the foreground forms a layer under the entire courtyard giving it the feeling of walking on a suspended surface without any jarring.

A fountain on the road to Quba from Haram.

I am sinful, I am disobedient, but still I belong to you.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

  3. Masha’allah. This is why Allah created blogs–to offer a fresh perspective (not to just rehash old leftovers like most of the blogs we see that trade on the name of Islam, subhan Allah). Thank you for being our “sister in the streets” so we can get a taste of life near the haramain.

“I am sinful, I am disobedient, but still I belong to you.” May He Subhanawataala accept us, ameen.

  6. Assalamu alaikum Dear Umm-e-Shiraaz…oh that I could stretch out to you all and bring you here rather than merely trying to present a tiny window on this Most Radiant of Cities, Insha’Allah the hearts yearning will be your transport to the Haramain, Ameen. Ameen thumma Ameen to your Du’as.
Dear Baba, :) to being a ’sister in the streets’…to be a brother on the streets and INSIDE Masjid Nabawi would produce more photos…so many limitations being a sister here! May Allah Ta’ala continue to give me these opportunities…and you all will be the first I will call upon, after Allah Ta’ala if arrested!!! :) :)
Dear Brother Ikramuddin and Dreamer, Ameen thumma Ameen…tears, goosebumps, hope and effort…effort on ourselves, our nafs, to earn this honour, to earn all the promised favours …and ’still belong to you’ Ya Rabb Ya Lateef Ya Wadud.
    Wassalamu alaikum

  8. Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Dear Umm-e-Shiraaz, Insha’Allah an opportunity will present itself. Meanwhile I have scanned various photos that are available …on think in the Ziyaratun Nabi series…when you come to them. The ‘authorities’ are still very sensitive about photography, even though it has become ‘legal’, and even though camera phones are clicking all over the place. Just last night after I had been in Rowdha Shareef one of the ’security’ brothers was in an altercation with a brother for taking pictures in the courtyard. Sometimes they confiscate the camera.
