‘a month of miscellany’ 08 ['a month of miscellany' 08] — almiskeenah @ 12:00 am

EIGHT

….this evening….a cloudless sky with the majestic moon passing the minaret having offered Salam….

….yesterday before Maghrib…a clouded threatening sky…looking towards Masjid Ali,  the corner of Haram to the right….and construction, construction….Jabal Uhud barely visible in the distance…

…masjid Abu Bakr, with renovation work underway…

….a grey monochromatic panorama….

…the nearer to Maghrib saw rain and lightning…by the time we were in the courtyard for Salat it was a steady downfall….tears mixing with the rains of mercy on the marble whilst in Sajdah…wishing it was mud on my forehead like our Beloved Prophet SallAllahu alaihi wasallam and the Sahabah RadhiAllahu anhum experienced….

….by Esha a squalling storm…with rain falling well into the night….SUBHANALLAH, ALHUMDULILLAH!

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

  4. Assalam alaikum Dear Sister AlMiskeenah! SubhanAllah wonderful pictures! Abu Bakr Masjid looks so humble standing by itself, and the dome looks like a “topee” from the top, the pillar raised ONE finger giving the Shahada. SubhanAllah.
As though this Masjid is humbly bowed in Allah’s dhikr. Will you post pictures once renovation is completed? JazakAllahu khair, please remember us in your humble dua’s and convey our Salaam to our beloved Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam. Wasalaam.

  6. Assalamu alaikum Dear Sister Farzana, Oh that I had a better camera to capture more professional images…these are very basic, but Alhumdulillah enough to convey the atmosphere. Whenever I visit ones I know who are here as pilgrims I usually ask if they have a room with a view and then ‘impose’ my presence to be able to take photos for you all!! Alhumdulillah the dear ones here at the moment are in this room overlooking the scenes you see. The last photo Dear Sister Saimah, if taken with a good SLR camera would be so beautiful…and a decent zoom lens…the rain on the marble was creating amazing reflections…I took many more shots but unfortunately they are not so good. Watching the rain around the lights was as if seeing golden flakes streaming into the lights…it was amazingly beautiful and so many were captivated by the rain and taking photos. The feeling was as if in a huge celebratory gathering…which it is when it rains here.
Ameen thumma Ameen Dear Abu Ahamd, this Nur far outweighs all the glitter and shine of the nearby illusions of the gold souqs! May we all open our hearts for it to pour in ,Ameen.
    Wassalamu alaikum

  7. Cont…that’s an interesting way to look at Masjid Abu Bakr Dear Umm-e-Shiraaz! I have another set of detailed images I will post soon Insha’Allah…and when the time ocmes Insha’Allah I will put up some of the renovations…at the moment labourers are chipping away the stucco facade revealing an ancient stone wall…such character.
Ahlan Wasahlan Dear Brother Ikramuddin!!! Alhumdulillah you are back and COMPLETE!! :) Masha’Allah
    Wassalamu alaikum
