Salat was the first and foremost thing ordained by Allah Ta’ala, and it shall be the first and foremeost thing to be reckoned for on the Day of Judgement.

Fear Allah in the matter of Salat! Fear Allah in the matter of Salat! Fear Allah in the matter of Salat!

Salat intervenes between man and shirk.

Salat is the mark of Islam. A person who says his Salat at the fixed hours with sincerity and devotion, observing all its regulations including the Mustahabat, is surely a Mu’min.

Of all things that have been ordained by Allah Ta’ala, Iman and Salat are the most valued. If there were any other thing better than Salat, then Allah Ta’ala would have ordained it for His Angels, some of whom are always in Ruku and others in Sajdah.

Salat is the pillar of Islam.

Salat abases the Shaytan.

Salat is the light of the Mu’min.

Salat is the best Jihad.

Allah Ta’ala keeps relenting towards a person so long as he is engaged in Salat.

When a calamity befalls us from heaven, people frequenting the Masjid are spared and saved.

Fire has been forbidden to touch those parts of the body which touch the ground while performing the Sajdah.

Of all the practices, Salat made at fixed hours is most loved by Allah Ta’ala.

Allah Ta’ala likes most the posture of a person when he is in Sajdah, pressing his forehead on the ground in humility.

A person in Sajdah is nearest unto Allah Ta’ala.

Salat is the key to Jannah.

When a person stands in Salat the gates of Jannah are let open and all the veils between him and Allah Ta’ala are lifted.

A person in Salat knocks at the door of the sovereign Lord, and the door is always opened for him who knocks.

The position of Salat in Islam is as the position of the head in a body.

Salat is the light of the heart. Let those who wish enlighten their hearts through Salat.

If a person wishes to have his sins forgiven by Allah Ta’ala, he should perform the Wudhu properly, offer with devotion two or four Rak’ats of Fardh or Nafl and then pray to Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala will forgive him.

Any strip of earth, on which Allah Ta’ala is remembered in Salat takes pride over the rest of the earth.

Allah Ta’ala accepts the prayer of a person who prays to Him after performing two Rak’ats of Salat. Allah Ta’ala grants him what he prays for, sometimes immediately and sometimes (in his own interest) later.

A person who performs two Rak’ats of Salat in seclusion, where nobody except Allah Ta’ala and His Angels see him, receives a writ of deliverance from the fire of Jahannam.

Grant of one prayer (wish) becomes due to a person from Allah Ta’ala after each Fardh Salat performed by him.

The fire of Jahannam is forbidden and Jannah becomes due to a person who performs his Wudhu properly and says his Salat conscientiously, according to its regulations.

The Shaytan remains scared of a Muslim so long as he is particular about his Salat, but no sooner does he neglect it than the Shaytan gets hold upon him and aspires for success in seducing him.

Salat at its early hours is the most excellent practice.

Salat is the offering of the pious.

Salat at its early hours is a practice most like by Allah Ta’ala.

At dawn, some people go to the Masjid and some to the market. Those going to the Masjid are the flag-bearers of Iman and those leaving for the market are the flag-bearers of the Shaytan.

The four Rak’ats before Zuhur have the same reward as the four rak’ats of Tahajjud.

The Mercy of Allah Ta’ala turns towards a person standing in Salat.

The comfort of my eyes is in Salat.

Of all the practices, Salat is the dearest to me.

Salat at the dead of the night is most valued, but there are very few who do it.

Jibreel Alaihis Salam came to me and said: O Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasallam! However long you shall live, you shall die one day, and whoever you may love, you  shall depart from them one day. Surely, you shall receive the recompense of whatever (good or evil) you do. No doubt the dignity of a Mu’min is in Tahajjud and his honour is in contentment and restraint.”

Two Rak’ats in the late hours of the night are more valuable than all the riches of this world. But for fear of hardship to my followers, I would have made these obligatory.

Keep offering Tahajjud, for it is the path of the righteous and the means of approach to Allah Ta’ala. Tahajjud keeps one away from sins, causes forgiveness of sins and improves the health of the body.

Allah Ta’ala says, ‘O son of Adam! Do not be weak in offering four Rak’ats in the early part of the day, for I shall suffice you in all you do in the rest of it.’

He who performs Ruku or Sajdah, his rank is elevated by one degree and one of his sins is forgiven.

Say Amin when the Imam has recited Ghairil maghdubi ‘alaikhim waladhalin. For undoubtedly whosoever’s words Amin coincides with the words of the Angels , all his past sins are forgiven.

When the son of Adam recites the verses in which there is Sajdah and then falls down in Sajdah, Shaytan withdraws into seclusion and weeping he says, Woe unto me! The son of Adam was commanded to make Sajdah and he obeyed and made Sajdah, so for him is eternal Paradise. And I too was commanded to make Sajdah but I refused and so for me is the eternal doom of the hell Fire.

Indeed a person completes his Salat and only one-tenth of the maximum reward is written for him. Likewise for some one-ninth, one-eighth, one-seventh, one-sixth, one-fifth, one-fourth, one-third or half of it is written.

Allah Ta’ala continues to turn attentively towards His slave while he is engaged in Salat, as long as he does not turn his attention. When he turns his attention away, Allah Ta’ala turns away from him.

Offer Salat like the one who is bidding farewell to the world and as though you see Allah Ta’ala and if you do not see Him, verily He sees you.

The worst of thieves is the one who steals from his Salat. The Sahabah RadhiAllahu anhum asked how can one steal from his Salat. They were told by not performing its Ruku and Sajdah perfectly, or not keeping the back straight in Ruku or in Sajdah. Another narration mentions that Sajdah is performed so fast like the pecking of a crow.  

The example of a Fardh Salat is like a weighing scale. Whoever gives in full, receives in full.
