umbrellas and new courtyard [construction] — almiskeenah @ 8:54 pm

….the latest on the installation of the umbrellas….

….note the closed new design, with its touch of gold, is different from the single previous one near closer to Bab as-Salam…

….the eastern xourtard extension from the Oberoi hotel….Alhumdulillah, the entrance for the sisters on this eastern side is now fully functioning as before…

…with a new, wide area surfaced with the cooler synthetic marble. There is still a bottle neck at the south eastern corner, but so much better than it has been for months….

….looking back to the Oberoi hotel and Jabal Uhud in the background…this side of the extension still has a lot of work to be done…

….as can be seen with this view looking back to Masjid Nabawi with the massive excavation leading to what will be the underground carpark. Jannatul Baqi is to the left.
Tried to photograph the majestic moon as it glides past the Dome of Felicity, displaying its Nisful Sha’ban glory, but seems it was too shy!

Our Blessed Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said:

"When the night of the middle of Sha’ban comes, Allah Ta’ala descends to the lowest Heaven and says, "Is there anyone begging for forgiveness that I might forgive him? Is there anyone begging for sustenance that I may feed him? Is there any such and such?" And we are told that Allah stays at this lowest heaven ready to accede to our legitimate requests until the break of dawn.”

“This is Laylat-ul-Bara’ah, this is the fifteenth of Sha’ban, a very great night. In this night you should be attentive in the worship of Allah, for this is the night of accounting. Whichever child is to be born during the coming year is written down on the list on this night, and the name of whoever is going to pass away in the coming year is deleted from the list.”

May Allah Ta’ala’s favoured showers be upon us all during this auspcious night and day, Ameen.

All good is from Allah Ta’ala whereas mistakes are from this humble speck. May Allah Ta’ala Bless all readers, bringing you all closer to Him and His Rasul SallAllahu alaihi wasallam.  May He accept our humble efforts and grant us the capacity to be good and do good. Ameen.

  1. Assalamualaikum dearest sister,

Ameen ameen ameen thuma ameen. May all our duas from this mubarik night ascent upon angels wings and be answered in the way best deemed for each and all!
Jazakiallah khaira for the umbrella project update… I’ve got to admit that the new design is indeed an improvement over the old one… Inshallah we may soon get to see them with our own eyes as there are murmurs abound of a possible Ramadhan journey towards the direction of our salah and to sit with The Beloved Salallahualaihiwasalam, may Allah Ta’ala etch this desire as a reality on this night of Bara’ah.
You and yours are forever in our duas also dearest sister :) May all our duas be accepted, ameen

  2. As-salaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
As-salaatu wasalaamu alaika Yaa Rasul Allah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam

Ala Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) said: “Verily the auspicious night of Shabbe Baraa’a is drawing near when the deeds of the slave will be presented to the Almighty Allah. I humbly supplicate in the Darbar-e-Aqdas of the Almighty Allah that through the Wasila-e-Uzma of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) He forgives the sins and transgressions of all Muslims. Aameen.

“On this occasion, it should be the duty of all Sunni Muslims to forgive one another and to make sure that whatever debts owed to one another is settled. The importance of Huqooq-ul-Ibaad cannot be over-emphasised as this is among the pre-requisites for proper Ibaadat. I pray that all Muslims humbly remember this night and try as much as possible to perform Ibaadat and other pious deeds so that their Record of Deeds be presented in all dignity.

“Finally, I pray that the Almighty Allah assists you and I and the Muslim Ummah wherever you may be. Muslims should be aware of sincerity and honesty in all their deeds. May Almighty Allah forgive all of us.
    Aameen.”

Yet again I wish I was in Madinah Sharif. Subhan Allah Khala Nur. May ALlah subhanahu wa
ta’ala accept your efforts and duas, amin.

    Wasalaam

  3. Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmathullahi wa barakatuhu. May Allah answer your prayers, Ameen.
Allah knows best, but from what little knowledge I have, I understand Allah descends to the lowest
heaven at the third part of every night (not shab-baraath only) saying “is there any ……” (same
as what you mentioned above. i.e. during ‘tahajjudh’

  4. Wa ‘alaikumus Salam Dear Brother Ikramuddin, may the murmurs be a definite invite!!! AMEEN!!!
Dear Ukht Farah, JazakiLlahu khairan for this soul stirring sharing, and for your thoughtful sentiments. Insha’Allah you too will be gracing this dust, inhaling the fragrance and shedding tears due to the close proximity, Ameen.
Dear Brother Sajjad, may your Du’a for prayers to be answers be accepted, JazakumuLlahu khairan. I believe both Tahajjud time and Nisful Sha’ban are times when Allah Ta’ala descends to the lower Heavens. One does not exclude the other. He is Al-Kareem, Insha’Allah we all make efforts to meet His Generosity.
    Wassalamu alaikum
