Wa 'alaikumus Salam Dear Sidra Bheti!
Alhumdulillah to be invited to the Sacred House is a blessed gift regardless of the conditions, but also to be there when it is so quiet is an added treat. Insha'Allah you too can experience it as such. I could not believe my eyes when I opened the curtains. Time spent inside Haram was sublime, then to come and still be such a part of it when in the room was amazing. I hardly slept during the time there. And as much as these towers dwarf the blessed precincts, the feeling of still being so close adds another dimension to being there.
The changes in both Makkah and Madinah between seasons is incredible Dear Brother Ikramuddin, and it seem to happen suddenly. One day one is dodging in and out of crowds, the next presents huge open spaces. Soon the Hujjaj will be adorning the Haramain. The first group of approximately 230 from Mumbai arrived here yesterday! Masha'Allah.
Ameen thumma Ameen Dear hq, but we all as an individual component of the Ummah have so much work to do on our hearts. May Allah Ta'ala guide and strengthen our resolve to make changes a reality, Ameen.
Insha'Allah a Hajj is written for you and your loved ones Dear faqir. Alhumdulillah for your trip to Tarim, may it be full of Barakah. Please share your blessings with us when you are able. And may we all be extra mindful of the plight of those affected by the flooding in these Mubarak lands. Allah Ta'ala's qudrat is Mighty and He knows all the whys and wherefores of His Hikmah, may He also will Sabr to be increased for all affected by His rains.
Wassalamu alaikum

Assalam u Alaikum

'all so close to the Sacred House. How prodigious the time must have been then. It was emotional enough to keep meditating from this height on our glorious past, let alone trying to allow the heart’s imagination to be back more than 1400 years.'

May Allah protect the al Haramain us-Sharifain from further destruction and return us to our glorious past, Ameen.

Wassalam

As-salamu'alaykum my lovely aunty!
These pictures are awesome, subhanAllah what a splendid view you had! Jazaka'llahu khayran muchos for sharing these pics with us. I'm in awe and yearning to visit the sacred house of Allah subhanahu wa'tala. It must have been beautiful to be able to do umrah when there's hardly any people there.
Much love and hugs
