As a comment to one of the pictures of Mina you uploaded, you said that the tents will be replaced by apartment block type structures. Whether they are "open" inside or more like a building, I personally believe it will be a sad day when there are no more tents in Mina, if that is what you meant they are planning to do. I don't know, it feels like the spirit of the Hajj is being changed. I do understand the potential need to accommodate more and more people in a restricted space, but I really pray to Allah swt that they find a design which still makes it feel tent like. All this modernism is good in terms of facilitating pilgrims, but we still need to be able to connect with the history symbolically, so I hope the authorites do give some consideration to design and heritage instead of just going for the "let's use concrete for everything" approach.
